Farm Worker Forum Raises Equality Issues

Las Cruces, NM – New Mexico State University's student assistance programs, which target minority groups and migrant students, will benefit from two state senate bills going into effect this week. One bill seeks to strengthen the College Assistance Migrant Program, which works to improve the retention rate of migrant and seasonal farm worker students at the university. As KRWG's Marco Grajeda reports, farm worker advocates say NMSU's program is good but the state of New Mexico still needs to do more to improve their quality of life.
