Fatal Rollover In Roosevelt County

At approximately 4:30 p.m., State Police was called to investigate a one vehicle rollover on US 60/84 near Tolar, New Mexico in Roosevelt County.  The investigation revealed a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban was westbound on US 60/84.  The roadway of US 60/84 east of Tolar goes into a dip with a curve.  After travelling through the dip and curve, the suburban travelled off the north side of the roadway.  The suburban was overcorrected, travelled off the south side of the roadway and rolled several times.  13 year old Caleb Cleveland, a passenger in the one of the rear seats, not restrained by seatbelt, was ejected.  Unfortunately, Caleb did not survive the injuries he sustained and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver, Mona Cleveland (44 of Albuquerque, New Mexico) was airlifted from the scene.  13 year old Joshua Cleveland, and 2 year daughter Hanna Cleveland, were originally transported by ambulance to Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.  Mona, Joshua and Hanna were airlifted a short time later to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas with serious injuries, and they were last known to be in stable condition.  Caleb and Joshua are twin brothers and their town of residence was not known at the time of this release.  Preliminarily, the suburban’s speed at the time it travelled off the roadway after travelling through the curve is a factor.
