Former Teacher Pleads Guilty In Sex Case

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A former Albuquerque middle school teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old student in 2009.

The Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office says Kristy Sanchez-Trujillo entered a plea agreement Friday.

She pleaded guilty to one count of criminal sexual penetration of a minor, two counts of criminal sexual contact and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

KOB-TV says Sanchez-Trujillo's sentenced is scheduled for June 29.

The 35-year-old Sanchez-Trujillo was fired in October 2009 from the Jimmy Carter Middle School, where she taught social studies.

Another teacher reported her relationship with the male student. Albuquerque police say Sanchez-Trujillo confessed to driving the boy to the movies and later to Petroglyph National Monument, where the two twice had sex in the back of her vehicle.
