Four people are recovering from injuries after an assailant tossed an explosive device at a courthouse in the northern Mexico border city of Matamoros.
Matamoros is across the border from Brownsville, Texas, and has been the scene of drug-cartel turf battles.
The Federal Judiciary Council did not identify what type of explosive was used in the Tuesday attack on the judicial headquarters building.
The council condemned the attack and said three of the injured were employees of the court system.
