Authorities say four people were hurt after a wrong-way driver traveling more than twice the speed limit on a Las Cruces road crashed into another vehicle. Police say the driver was going nearly 100 mph northbound in the southbound lanes of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard around 10 a.m. Saturday.
The driver allegedly hit two vehicles before crashing into a third carrying three people, including a child.
Det. Frank Torres says the man and child were airlifted to an El Paso hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman and the wrong-way driver were transported to a Las Cruces hospital.
Torres says the woman likely has a lot of broken bones but the driver's injuries aren't life-threatening.
Police say no charges have been filed but they're investigating.
