Las Cruces – Dona Ana County residents can get some free legal advice this Friday.
Judges, lawyers, and legal service programs have scheduled Free Legal Help Day from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Friday.
The event will be held in Las Cruces at the Third District Courthouse, 201 West Picacho Avenue.
Self-help seminars will be presented on a wide range of topics.
And 20-minute consultations with an attorney will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
The event was organized by the Third Judicial District's pro bono committee.
The activities planned for Dona Ana County residents are among those statewide during "New Mexico Pro Bono Week", designated to help local residents and to honor those lawyers who help the disadvantaged.
