LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Today, District Attorney Mark D’Antonio and Uber are encouraging Las Cruces residents to plan ahead before celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
As part of an ongoing partnership, Uber will offer new users a $15 credit which is enough to cover the majority of rides requested in the Las Cruces area.
D’Antonio said, “When you choose to drink and drive, you’re risking more than just your life. You’re also putting other people’s lives in danger. That’s why I’m encouraging everyone who plans on drinking to have a designated driver or request an Uber.”
New users can access the free ride credit by downloading the Uber app and entering the promo code DANTONIO. Uber will also donate $5 to the Shattered Lives campaign for every new user who signs up and takes their first ride using the promo code.
