Heavy rains have raised the Gila River by 15 feet in the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument area causing significant flooding.
Access to the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the Gila Visitor Center is not possible at this time due to flooding and high water levels along the Gila River off N.M. State Highway 15.
All campgrounds in the area including the Lower and Upper Scorpion, Forks and Grapevine are temporarily closed.
