July Wine And Beer Festival Returning To Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, NM – Large wine festivals and local craft beer festivals are growing in popularity, but there is only one festival that features both New Mexico wines and local craft beers, and gives people the choice of enjoying an air-conditioned indoor setting and an outdoor patio. The second annual Red White and Brew Wine and Beer Festival takes place from Friday, June 30 through Sunday, July 2 at the Las Cruces Convention Center in Las Cruces.

The Red White and Brew festival brings together all the elements for a fun festival, with plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to celebrate. The patio area overlooking University Avenue will feature tasty grilled snacks, live music, and seating areas. Inside, there will be a great selection of arts and crafts, specialty food vendors, and samples from New Mexico’s most popular wineries and breweries.

“The Fourth of July weekend is a great kick-off to a long holiday, and our event has a Friday kickoff, with live music so you can start the weekend off right after work,” said Event Organizer Staci Mays of Las Cruces Event Planning. “We want people to come out, relax, and start the weekend early!”

Some of the region’s most popular wineries will be in attendance at the festival, each one offering a wide selection of tasty varieties. Sheehan Winery, Noisy Water Winery, St. Clair Winery, Heart of the Desert, Cottonwood Wine & Brewing, and Black’s Smuggler Winery will be offering samples. The line up of breweries has expanded, too: Abbey Brewing Company, Picacho Peak Brewing Company, Bosque Brewing Company, Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery, Sierra Blanca Brewing Company, High Desert Brewing Company, and Spotted Dog Brewery will have complimentary tastings for attendees.

Live music will include the Derrick Harris Band, Soulshine, the CW Ayon Trio, and many more. Plus, tasty foods, apparel, hand-crafted art, and much more will be at the festival. Sponsored by the Las Cruces Convention Center, the Las Cruces Shuttle, State Farm Insurance, Erus Energy, and Las Cruces Event Planning, tickets for the event will be $15 in advance online and $20 at the door, which includes a souvenir tumbler and samples from the wineries and breweries. Tickets will be on sale soon online at www.redwhiteandbrewfestival.com. Under 21 is free with a parent or legal guardian. All guests must have a valid photo ID, regardless of age. Designated Drivers pay just $10 and receive a free bottle of water.
