Rocky Lara, candidate in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, released the following statement today after receiving 84 percent of the vote at the Democratic pre-primary convention.
“I am honored to have the overwhelming support of Democrats in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District,” Rocky Lara said. “The momentum and energy our grassroots campaign has built was evident in today’s results. Democrats in every corner of southern New Mexico are united and motivated to take on Congressman Pearce and win in November.”
Lara faces a primary challenge from Leslie Endean Singh of Alamogordo.
