Las Cruces Career Fair On Tap For NMSU

New Mexico State University’s Career Services invites students to attend its 10th annual Career Connections on Feb. 3-4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first floor of the Corbett Center Student Union.

The event is co-sponsored by Career Services and the College of Engineering. It is open to anyone interested in finding job opportunities such as internships, co-ops and professional employment. Community members are welcome to attend.

“Candidates benefit because they are able to connect with an employer in person and showcase their knowledge, skills and abilities in a way a resume may not always provide,” Career Services associate director Roseanne Bensley said.

Tuesday, Feb. 3, will feature employers in the fields of business, agriculture, liberal arts and allied health. Wednesday, Feb. 4, will cater to those looking for employment in engineering, science and technology. Students and employers are encouraged to attend both days.

“Employers would benefit by attending the career fair because they have access to qualified candidates who are educated in the specific subject areas needed,” Bensley said. “Connecting with students early in their college career will build strong relationships and locate great talent before they go into the broader job market.”

Employers can register to attend the fair at http://careerservices.nmsu.edu/ by clicking the Employer tab under the AggieCAREER Manager button. Candidates do not have to register.
