Las Cruces, NM – Askthecity.com is a city-wide reporting system that began in early October.
Residents can use the online form and website to report things like road conditions, graffiti and utility emergencies or request licensing, bills and permits.
At a city council work session this week city officials discussed plans for potential expansion of the system as well as an update as to the systems effectiveness thus far.
Community Relations Coordinator Robert Caldwell says there are a few ways to further improve the functionality of askthecity.com
Caldwell-"We are still tweaking this system so that we get a large array of inquiries and give the opportunity to the user to know that there are multiple areas they can inquire about."
The city has plans to add even more categories and departments to assist the community with questions and concerns.
Caldwell also says around 90% of the inputs in the system are related to pot holes, graffiti, street lights and abandoned cars.
The revamped system will be in place early next year.
