Las Cruces Fire Leaves Behind Heavy Smoke Damage

The Las Cruces Fire Department responded to the 1900 block of Carlyle Drive for a structure fire.

 

Las Cruces Firefighters were dispatched just after 1 a.m. Saturday to home fire.  The first arriving fire crew witnessed heavy smoke and flames coming from a bedroom window.  Fire crews attacked the fire and had it extinguished within minutes.  All residents had evacuated prior to the arrival of fire crews.  

 

The fire was contained to a bedroom that had heavy smoke and fire damage.  There was severe smoke damage throughout the structure.  The fire is still under investigation and damage estimates are not complete.

 

There were no reports of firefighter or civilian injuries.
