Las Cruces League of Women Voters Celebrating 50 Years of Service

A display on the 50-year history of the Greater Las Cruces League of Women Voters will be available at the Branigan Cultural Center from July 3 to August 25. The display will highlight the Las Cruces chapter’s mission, its positions, and its advocacy from its founding through its current activities. A member forum focused on mental health issues and Doña Ana County will be held in conjunction with the exhibit at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18in the Branigan Cultural Center.

The League of Women Voters is a national, nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The Las Cruces chapter’s voter services include voter registration, candidate forums, and voters guide publications, with the mission of ensuring that all eligible voters have unbiased, nonpartisan information when exercising their important right to vote.

Admission is free to the Branigan Cultural Center, located at 501 North Main Street. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30, Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m.  to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays in June, July, and August.
