Las Cruces police arrested a 52-year-old man suspected of using social media to solicit a teenage boy.
Roger Irving Cobb, who resides on the 1000 block of west Amador Avenue, is charged with one count of child solicitation by electronic device. The charge is a fourth-degree felony.
Investigators learned on Oct. 19 that Cobb used Facebook Messenger to send a sexually explicit note to a 14-year-old boy, asking if he would engage in sexual activity.
Cobb was arrested Oct. 23 and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where he’s initially being held without bond.
