Las Cruces Police Arrest Armed Robbery and Aggravated Burglary Suspects

Las Cruces Police arrested two men believed to be involved in two separate armed incidents – an armed robbery and an aggravated burglary – that were committed this past weekend.

Logan Jarrette, 26, of Albuquerque, and William Worley, 33, of the 2700 block of east Idaho Avenue in Las Cruces, have been arrested and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.

Jarrette was arrested June 20 and is charged with one count of armed robbery, aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of conspiracy.

Worley, arrested June 21, is charged with aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of conspiracy.

Las Cruces Police investigators learned that at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, a man armed with a handgun entered the Pic Quick convenience store at 1770 S. Telshor Blvd. and demanded cash from a clerk. The man fled the store with $18, a few packs of cigarettes and some lottery tickets.

The following day, at about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 18, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery at an apartment at 3500 Foothills Drive. In that incident, Worley knocked on the door of a friend’s apartment who let him inside. Worley quickly left the apartment, which was suspicious to the couple who resided there. A few moments later, an armed man burst into the apartment and demanded the couple’s cell phones, money and other items.

One of the victims fled the apartment during the incident but then noticed the armed intruder get into a vehicle driven by Worley.

Investigators later determined that Jarrette was the suspect from the armed robbery at the Pic Quick and believe Worley was his accomplice in both incidents.

Bond for Jarrette was set at $50,000 while Worley is being held on a $10,000 bond. Jarrette is also being held on a warrant from Bernalillo County.
