Police are investigating two reports since Monday evening of gunshots that were fired in the area of Mesquite Street and Juniper Avenue.
At around 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, and again at about 2 p.m. today Las Cruces Police received calls of shots being fired near the area of Mesquite and Juniper. No one reported gunshot injuries but one woman received a superficial stab wound to her arm during an affray.
Police learned that several fights broke out Monday evening during a large gathering in the area.
