Las Cruces Senior Center Closed For Third Time Due To Carbon Monoxide In The Building

The City of Las Cruces’ Munson Center is closed under further notice due to the presence of carbon monoxide in the building. The Center was closed earlier this week while crews worked on the heating system and was also closed in December due to carbon monoxide in the building.  The Las Cruces fire marshal ordered the building closed until the source of the gas is located and remedied.

Dial-a-Ride patrons who normally dine at the center will be transported to the Eastside Center, 310 N. Tornillo St.

Patrons who drive themselves will be served at either the Benavidez Center, 1045 McClure Rd. or the Eastside Center.

Regularly scheduled Enhance Fitness and Tai Chi classes will be held at Eastside Center.

All other activities such as Mah Jongg, card playing, pool playing, quilting and art classes will be suspended unless arrangements are made with senior programs staff.

For more information call 575/541-3000.
