Las Cruces Shooting Sends Man To El Paso Hospital

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating a Tuesday evening shooting that sent a 39-year-old man to the hospital.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, Las Cruces Police were called to the 1600 block of south Espina Street where the victim was suffering from two gunshot wounds to his chest. The victim was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso though his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made at this time. LCPD investigators have interviewed several potential witnesses and are continuing to gather evidence.
