Tips For Mega Millions Winners

DAVID GREENE, HOST:

Well, at least three Americans may be leaping to much higher tax brackets. Don't expect them to complain.

Today's last word in business: mega millions. There were three winners in Friday's record-breaking, $656 million U.S. lottery jackpot. They were from Kansas, Illinois and Maryland. So far, though, none of the winning ticketholders have actually come forward. If you are among the lucky few, collect your money. And you also might want to consider some advice given by experts to the Wall Street Journal:

Take a cooling-off period of three to six months. Don't go on a spending spree; you should avoid making any big decisions too quickly. And as Michael Garrison, of Garrison Financial, told the Journal: The fear is that people get this lump sum, and go crazy.
