Lt. Gov. Sanchez On Trade Mission In Germany

New Mexico Lt. Gov. John Sanchez is among a group of lieutenant governors traveling to Germany on a trade mission.

The National Lieutenant Governors Association said Democratic and Republican lieutenant governors from New Mexico, Massachusetts, Iowa, Rhode Island and the U.S. Virgin Islands are making the trip, which runs Saturday through Sept. 30.

Sanchez said in a statement that expenses are covered by a German group, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, in cooperation with the lieutenant governors association.

Members of the delegation are to meet with Germany's vice chancellor, the U.S. ambassador to Germany along with other German government and business officials to talk about trade, energy, health care, education and transportation. The group will visit Berlin, Dresden, Lommatzsch and Leipzig.
