Man Drives Into Las Cruces Dollar Store, Hitting Customer

A 58-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a vehicle that turned a Dollar Tree store into a drive-thru.  The woman received injuries to a leg and was transported to an area hospital following the Sunday afternoon crash at the Dollar Tree store at 2190 N. Main St. The crash was reported shortly before 1 p.m.

Las Cruces Police learned that a 52-year-old Organ, N.M., man was in a 2000 Mercury sedan and attempting to reverse from a parking spot. Instead the vehicle surged forward, jumped a curb and crashed through the storefront.

The woman injured was inside the store at the time of the crash. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
