Alamogordo – An Alamogordo man faces 14 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in 2008.
District Judge Jerry H. Ritter Jr. sentenced 55-year-old Peter J. Mallory Friday to nine years in prison for second-degree felony kidnapping and three years for third-degree felony criminal sexual penetration, plus two years enhancement as a habitual offender.
Mallory will have to register as a sex offender and be on probation between five years and 20 years after completing his prison term.
State's attorney David Ceballes described Mallory as a danger to the community.
Ceballes told the court the victim was captured, restrained and criminally sexually penetrated several times in Mallory's home.
Mallory said he was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1973. He also blamed alcohol for his actions.
