Marchers Protest the Construction of a Border Fence
By Marco Grajeda
Las Cruces, NM – This weekend, a four-day-march protesting the construction of a new portion of border fence came to a close in Sunland Park, New Mexico. The protestors, which included members from a number of organizations, began their trek last Thursday in Fort Hancock, Texas. The rally dubbed The March for Peace and Unity was organized to protest the Federal Government's plans to construct 100-miles of border fencing and vehicle barriers in West Texas and New Mexico. KRWG's Marco Grajeda was at their final stop in Sunland Park, New Mexico and has this audio postcard.
