New Mexico – New financial reports show Republican gubernatorial candidate Susana Martinez raised $2 million for her campaign since late June, which is more than twice as much as Democrat Diane Denish.
Martinez spent almost $1.3 million and had a cash balance of slightly more than $1 million as of last week, according to a statement from her campaign.
Denish raised nearly $796,000 and had a campaign balance of $1.3 million.
Denish spent nearly $1.7 million on her gubernatorial bid since late June.
Details of Martinez's contributions were not available because the campaign was unable to electronically file its report Monday with the secretary of state's computer system.
