MESILLA, N.M. (March 12, 2013) – A new fire truck is expected to arrive at the Mesilla Fire Department, 2670 Calle de Parian, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. After a brief delay the delivery of the much anticipated new engine is now scheduled and confirmed.
The Spartan Metro Star X pumper is first Type 1 pumper the Town of Mesilla has received since 1994. The unit will replace a 1987 pumper. It has seating for 6 firefighters, a 1500 gpm pump, firefighting foam capabilities and improved emission and safety features.
