Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Military Base Planning Commission, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Dianne Denish, held its first meeting of the year today in Las Cruces. The fourteen member board was first created in response to an announcement by the Department of Defense that it planned to cut base capacity nationwide, in order to save money.
