Missouri Man Charged With Holding Girlfriend Against Her Will

Las Cruces Police Department

Las Cruces Police arrested a man suspected of holding his girlfriend against her will and injuring the woman during a heated argument Sunday evening.

Dyllan Dale, 23, of Branson, Mo., is charged with kidnapping, three counts of false imprisonment, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, three counts of aggravated battery against a household member and one count of criminal damage to property.
Police detectives learned that Dale and his girlfriend were in Las Cruces, visiting for the holiday weekend and staying at her relative’s home on the 700 block of Suzanne Avenue. Sometime Sunday evening Dale allegedly became intoxicated and the couple began arguing.
As the argument progressed, Dale is alleged to have forced his girlfriend into a bedroom and locked her inside. The woman was able to exit the room but, detectives believe, Dale then struck his girlfriend and held her on the floor causing bruising throughout her body.
The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
At around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the woman – after several attempts – made contact with a friend who drove to the house and picked her up. The woman stayed the evening with her friend and police were called the following morning. Officers located Dale at the Suzanne Avenue residence and discovered evidence consistent with statements made by the Dale and the woman.
Dale was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.
