Las Cruces – The City of Las Cruces Munson Senior Center is getting closer to reopening. The center was closed January 25th after a carbon monoxide leak associated with the heating system boiler was discovered.
The contractor performing the repairs is waiting for the New Mexico Construction Industries Division to approve plans before work can commence. Once the last few remaining mechanical issues are addressed, final inspection will take place and the boilers will become operational again.
The contractor anticipates project completion by the end of next week at the latest.
In the meantime, regularly scheduled activities normally held at Munson Center have been temporarily relocated to other centers. For detailed information regarding this schedule, call 528-3000.
