Native American Citizenship Panel Coming To Las Cruces

Join the Branigan Cultural Center in welcoming Dr. Donald Pepion of the Blackfoot Tribe, Navajo representative Taffy Miller, Justin McHorse from Taos Pueblo, and Michael Roy of the Piro-Manso-Tiwa Tribe for a discussion panel at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.

The panel will center on the June 2 “Native American Citizenship Day.” The panel will discuss current relationships with government, forced relocations (both historic and modern), and what it is like to be Native American in today’s world. The panel will be held in the Branigan Cultural Center Swartz room and audience members are encouraged to ask questions.

The museum is located at 501 North Main Street and is open Tuesday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Enjoy special summer evening hours when the museums are open until 8 p.m. every Wednesday, June through August.
