LAS CRUCES, NM - Anyone interested in visiting Las Cruces can now plan their trip with just a tap on their phone screen when they download the new app from Visit Las Cruces.
The app is free and available for Apple and Android users by searching for "Visit Las Cruces" in the app stores.
The new app is a convenient way for people to explore Las Cruces once they have arrived and instantaneously receive information about local events, attractions, restaurants, places to stay, or how to follow the Green Chile Trail through Las Cruces. It also has a section for people who only have a few hours and want to know how to best use their time to explore the area. And, for those who enjoy sharing their adventures on social media, the app features a listing of the best places in Las Cruces to take a selfie!
Chris Faivre, Marketing Director for Visit Las Cruces says the app improves their efforts to market Las Cruces as a destination. "We make every effort to utilize the latest technology available to improve a visitor's experience in Las Cruces," said Faivre. "The app is a convenient way to reach out and engage visitors. We like to think of it as a mobile-concierge."
The new app will be a play a vital role in Visit Las Cruces' marketing efforts. Currently about 70% of monthly traffic to Visit Las Cruces' website comes through a mobile device.
"There are millions of mobile device users who use apps daily to acquire information to plan their travel," said Faivre. "This app will assist us in reaching those visitors in the way they prefer to receive information."
Additional app features include the ability to share content socially, follow directions to places listed, watch videos, and build a personalized itinerary of places and events to see and visit.
