Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Court of Appeals decision late last week to uphold the state's 2007 ban on cockfighting was applauded by The Humane Society of the United States and Animal Protection of New Mexico. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the ban was challenged by the New Mexico Gamefowl Association along with a group of business owners who claimed it violated the state constitution.
