By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Federal authorities have arrested two brothers who are documented gang members and wanted in New Mexico for various offenses.

U.S. Marshals say they took Christopher Valdivia and Gabriel Valdivia into custody Wednesday. One was found at a Las Cruces home and the other was located at a girlfriend's house in El Paso, Texas.

Authorities said Thursday that Gabriel Valdivia was wanted on a federal supervised release warrant after escaping from an Albuquerque halfway house on Oct. 1 while Christopher Valdivia was wanted on a New Mexico parole violation.

They say Christopher Valdivia's criminal history includes assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and assault on a peace officer. They say Gabriel Valdivia's criminal history includes shooting at a house or dwelling, resisting arrest, and felon in possession of a firearm.
