New Mexico – The state of New Mexico will receive nearly $952,000 for children services.
The funding comes from a grant program created in the new health insurance reform law. It will be used to support home visiting initiatives based on the well-being of families with young children.
Sen. Jeff Bingaman, a New Mexico Democrat, says the funds will help at-risk families by providing services in the field like health, child protection, early education and social services so that children can have a healthy start in life.
