Republican Gov. Susana Martinez focused on fundraising the day before New Mexico's primary election.
Martinez campaign spokesman Chris Sanchez said the governor traveled to Texas on Monday for a fundraiser in Dallas, and was to return to New Mexico in the evening. The campaign will pay for travel costs.
Martinez, who's the nation's first Hispanic female governor, is unopposed in Tuesday's GOP primary. Five Democrats are seeking the party's nomination to challenge the governor in the November general election.
