NM Game Commission Meeting To Be Webcast

By KRWG News

New Mexico – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) The New Mexico Game Commission will be trying something new at its meeting Thursday.

For those unable to travel to Albuquerque for the regular meeting, it will be webcast as part of an initiative to make state government more accessible and transparent.

The public can access the live webcast from Gov. Susana Martinez's website.

Video from Thursday's meeting and future meetings will be posted in the website archives.

Thursday's agenda includes a discussion with private landowners about proposed agreements that would give public hunters access to private land to hunt bighorn sheep in the Fra Cristobal and Culebras mountains.

The agreements would allow the Game and Fish Department to offer the first public hunting opportunities for bighorn sheep on private land. The agreements would also give landowners reciprocal hunting opportunities.
