Nursing students will soon be able to earn a bachelor’s degree entirely in Alamogordo. A celebration of the new partnership between the New Mexico State University School of Nursing and NMSU Alamogordo’s Allied Health Pre-Nursing will be marked with the signing of a memorandum of understanding at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, at the NMSU-A Science Center Atrium.
Students will earn the first two years of pre-nursing credits at NMSU-A and be able to complete the second two years of study at the NMSU-A campus, via online or other distance education platforms, earning their BSN from NMSU without having to leave Alamogordo. Even the clinicals will be within Otero and Lincoln counties.
The public is cordially invited to attend the celebration. Light refreshments will be served.
