NMSU Celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week

  New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Center will celebrate of Global Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 18-21 with events to encourage local innovators and entrepreneurs.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide campaign designed to inspire people everywhere to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators while connecting with potential collaborators, mentors and investors.

"The purpose of Global Entrepreneurship Week is to encourage and celebrate innovators and entrepreneurs," said Kathryn Hansen, CEO for the Arrowhead Center at NMSU. "We hope to launch startups through a community event that engages leaders and entrepreneurs."

NMSU Arrowhead Center's student incubator, Studio G, will host booths around campus Nov. 18 to 19 to provide students with information about the resources available to student entrepreneurs.

Studio G will also host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Academic Research A on the NMSU campus. The open house will feature entrepreneur Jason Ladere, food, prizes and opportunities to join Studio G - all Startup Weekend participants and NMSU students are welcome.

A coffee meet-up from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Milagro Coffee Y Espresso, 1733 E. University Ave., will bring together Studio G students and others who participated in Las Cruces Startup Weekend, Nov. 15 to 17, for valuable networking time.

The New Mexico Programming Group will also host its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Arrowhead Center at Genesis Center Building C, on the NMSU Campus. The group will also have a presentation titled "Las Cruces Startups at an Early Stage."
