Okla. Woman Falls From Truck On I-40 In New Mexico

Authorities have identified an Oklahoma City woman who is hospitalized in critical condition after falling out of a tractor-trailer truck as it drove on Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque.

New Mexico State Police say investigators are still trying to determine circumstances surrounding the Aug. 10 injury to 22-year-old Mariah Nicole Pruitt. She's hospitalized in Albuquerque.

Sgt. Emmanuel Gutierrez says the driver of the big rig was located in Tennessee and that the driver is cooperating with investigators. The driver's identity hasn't been released.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman fall from the truck and hit the pavement as the truck traveled at approximately 65 mph. She suffered severe brain trauma and other injuries.
