Organizers of the 2015 Domenici Public Policy Conference, hosted by New Mexico State University and set for Sept. 16 and 17 at the Las Cruces Convention Center, have announced a change to speaker lineup on the conference’s second day.
Francisco J. Monaldi will speak about energy in the Americas at 11:15 a.m.Thursday, Sept. 17. Monaldi, a leading scholar on the politics and economics of the oil industry and oil wealth management in Latin America and developing countries, will replace Amy Myers Jaffe, who will be unable to attend as scheduled.
Thursday’s agenda also includes remarks from New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, economic development expert Angelos Angelou, Dana Christensen of the National Renewable Energy Lab, former U.S. Ambassador Robert Ford, and the conference’s namesake, retired U.S. Sen. Pete V. Domenici.
The lineup for Sept. 16 is unchanged, and includes former North Carolina Gov. Jim Hunt and infrastructure experts Samara Barend of AECOM Capital, Andrew Herrmann of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Mary Peters, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
