Mark D'Antonio presents donated backpacks collected from donations by the employees of the District Attorney's Office to Brooke Roberson, president of Las Cruces Moms. Las Cruces Moms is slated to collect 290 back packs full of school supplies for Project Back to School, a project in which backpacks are given to 290 needy children in our community. Roberson states that she needs approximately 100 more backpacks to meet her goal. She will be at the Starbucks on Lohman this Saturday August 3, 2013 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The community is encouraged to bring backpacks filled with school supplies to help this cause. Mr. D'Antonio said that he believes in the cause and encourages our community to help get our children off to a great start for the 2013-2014 school year.
