Public Input Sought On Capital Project Priorities

A series of five community meetings – one in each of Doña Ana County’s five commission districts – has been scheduled to solicit public input on priority needs for capital-outlay funding throughout the county. Once a priority list is compiled, the rankings will be entered into a statewide database and used to lobby the 2018 New Mexico Legislature.

Meeting dates and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, April 11 – Radium Springs Community Center, 12060 Lindbeck Rd., hosted by District 5 Doña Ana County Commissioner John L. Vasquez.

Wednesday, April 12 – Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 County Line Rd., hosted by District 2 Doña Ana County Commissioner Ramon S. Gonzalez.

Thursday, April 13 – Vado/Del Cerro Community Center, 180 La Fe Ave., hosted by District 1 Doña Ana County Commissioner Billy G. Garrett.

Tuesday, April 18 – Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Rd., hosted by District 3 Doña Ana County Commissioner Benjamin L. Rawson.

Thursday, April 20 – Butterfield Community Center, 7350 Berry Patch Rd., hosted by District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner Isabella Solis.

Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

County staff will be on hand at each of the community meetings, and Spanish translation services will be available.

Input on the process can also be directed to Doña Ana County Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan Coordinator Michelle Blackwell at michelleb@donaanacounty.org, or by phone at (575) 525-6180.
