Public Meetings Set For Capital Priorities In Las Cruces And Doña Ana County

  A series of five community meetings – one in each of Doña Ana County’s five commission districts – has been scheduled to solicit public input on priority needs for capital-outlay funding throughout the county. Once a priority list is compiled, the rankings will be entered into a statewide database and used to lobby the 2017 New Mexico Legislature.

Meeting dates and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, April 12 – Radium Springs Community Center, 12060 Lindbeck Rd., hosted by District 5 Doña Ana County Commissioner Leticia Duarte-Benavidez.

Wednesday, April 13 – Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 County Line Rd., hosted by District 2 Doña Ana County Commissioner Dr. David J. Garcia.

Thursday, April 14 – Vado/Del Cerro Community Center, 180 La Fe Ave., hosted by District 1 Doña Ana County Commissioner Billy G. Garrett.

Tuesday, April 19 – Las Alturas Fire Station, 4145 Cholla Dr., hosted by District 3 Doña Ana County Commissioner Benjamin L. Rawson.

Thursday, April 21 – Butterfield Community Center, 7350 Berry Patch Rd., hosted by District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner Wayne D. Hancock.

Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

  County staff will be on hand at each of the community meetings, and Spanish translation services will be available.
