Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM 2) congratulated more than 160 new United States citizens Friday as guest speaker at a naturalization ceremony at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
“I congratulate today’s men and women, who have chosen to become citizens of our great nation,” said Congressman Steve Pearce. “Like millions before them, they bring the promise of creating a stronger America by building upon our foundation of culture and diversity. New Mexico flourishes because of the people who call our state and communities home. Citizenship also carries with it the responsibility to our communities and the ability to voice opinions. I thank these men and women for their enthusiasm today and I encourage them all to carry that passion for America in their hearts always.”
