Reward For Information In Armed Robberies

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect who may be responsible for three armed robberies in the past two months and two other reports of him acting suspiciously at area businesses.

The suspect has repeatedly been described as being a black male in his mid-20's with a thin build. He is approximately 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10-inches tall and has been seen driving a gold or tan-colored car, possibly a Nissan Sentra.

The man is believed to be the same suspect in three armed robberies; Dec. 3, 2009, at the Pic Quik store at 2001 Bataan Memorial West; Dec. 17 at the Pic Quik store at 1770 S. Telshor Blvd.; and Jan. 11, 2010, at the Check N Go at 400 N. Telshor Blvd.

A similar description of the suspect was given by witnesses who saw a man acting suspiciously in the early-morning hours of Dec. 17 at the Walgreens store at 3100 N. Main St. and at the same Pic Quik store that was robbed Dec. 3.

If you have any information as to the identity of this suspect you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 526-8000 or outside the Las Cruces area at 1-800-897-2746.

The Crime Stoppers number is operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
