Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man suspected of the Aug. 1 armed robbery at a local smoke shop.
On Friday, Aug. 1, Las Cruces Police learned that a man walked into the Hookah Outlet, at 1900 S. Espina St., at around 9 p.m. and used a black handgun to threaten an employee. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and his own personal iPod before the suspect left.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5-feet-10 to 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a light blue long-sleeve T-shirt and black jogging pants or jeans. He was wearing a baseball cap and covered his face with a black bandana.
