Reward In Las Cruces Home Invasion And Robbery

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects responsible for a Nov. 18 home-invasion robbery in Mesilla, N.M.

At around 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, two masked men ambushed a husband and wife couple who had just returned to their home on the 2100 block of Calle de Santiago in Mesilla. The suspects ordered the couple to the floor and used plastic ties to restrain the husband and wife.

The couple was forced to open a personal safe inside the home, and relinquish the alarm code and combination to the safe at their art gallery. One of the masked men then forced the female victim into her GMC Yukon and drove her to the couple's business, the Cutter Gallery on south El Paseo Road in Las Cruces.

Nothing was stolen from the couple's business. However, jewelry, silverware and a Sharp flat screen television set were stolen from the couple's home.

The victims were not physically injured during the ordeal. The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office is investigating this case.

If you have any information on the identity of the two masked men, or any information that may help investigators, you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
