Severe Weather Likely For Northeastern N.M.

The National Weather Service is forecasting bad weather for northeastern New Mexico, with severe and possibly damaging thunderstorms each afternoon and evening through the weekend.

Areas expected to be affected by a the severe weather from a cold front moving into the region Thursday will include Colfax, Union, Quay and Harding counties.

The forecasters say possible conditions include damaging winds as high as 60mph, large hail and brief, heavy downpours.
