Shooting In Las Cruces

Las Cruces – Las Cruces Police are investigating a Saturday morning shooting that resulted in a 20-year-old man being transported to an El Paso hospital.

Detectives learned that the incident occurred at around 2 a.m. near the Bradley's gas station at 1260 El Paseo Road. A physical confrontation between the victim and two other men apparently escalated into at least one gunshot being fired.

The victim remained conscious and was transported to a local hospital. He was subsequently airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
