The Sierra Club is holding a town hall on climate change Tuesday night in Albuquerque.

The "Climate Connections" forum is s in response to President Obama's call for a national dialogue on climate disruption.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 at the South Broadway Cultural Center. It will begin with an original poem by Albuquerque's first Poet Laureate Hakim Bellamy. Then there will be short films of New Mexicans impacted by climate disruption, and presentations from climate researchers and climate solution organizers.

Artwork and letters to President Obama from local students will be on display. Video messages from members of New Mexico's Congressional delegation will be shown and community organizations involved in confronting climate change will have booths.
